Fast Cows, Tuff Horses
New at this year’s Goshen Stampede is an event from out west called Team Penning. It originated in California, on their vast cattle ranches, as away of sorting out the top cowboy.
As in every sporting event of today, it’s faster than fast, with teams of horse and riders and their opponents the cows, each trying to out maneuver the other, with speed and agility. The object of Team Penning is for a team of three horses n riders to cut or gather three cows from a heard of 30 cows, then steer the three crazed heard loving animals into a holding pen, with the fastest time of the day.
The Team Penning Event will take place Sunday morning the 15th at the 3rd Annual Goshen Stampede which runs from June 13-15, at the Goshen Fair Grounds, 116 Old Middle St., Goshen, CT 06756. For More info call (860) 485-8586.
